Live Nation To Sell Venues to AEG?, and Other News

Likely to alleviate some of the panic over the possibility of a merger between entertainment conglomerates Live Nation and Ticketmaster, Live Nation has indicated that they may be selling some of their venues to AEG, which could just be the impetus needed to get the Justice Department to agree to the deal. AEG is Live Nation’s largest rival in the concert promotion biz, but such a move could, essentially, win them the grudging approval that they need. Nothing’s been confirmed yet, peeps, so hold tight for more news. (Hypebot)
