Ryan Adams and the Sweetheart Revolution
November 14, 2001, Fillmore Auditorium
Artwork by Joel Elrod

Joel Elrod’s relationship with Bill Graham Presents as a house poster artist commenced in 1996, the year after he moved to the Bay. Elrod’s funky, rich-hued line drawings are vibrant works of art, and this poster for Ryan Adams and the Sweetheart Revolution is an apt representation of his striking and distinct style. In customary Fillmore tradition, this was one of the free posters given to concert patrons at the end of the show, a piece that endorses Adams and his backing band shortly after the release of Gold, his best selling and critically well-received nod to ‘70s rock.
