Rock Art Rock: Issue 1.50
Muddy Waters, Chicago, IL
Photography by Jim Marshall
To honor Muddy Waters on the 25th anniversary of his death, this week’s installment of Rock Art Rock is dedicated to the man himself, the Father of Chicago Blues. Captured here in Chicago, of course, by the lens of photographer great Jim Marshall, the legendary musician looks wise and at ease sitting on a front porch passing the time with the venerable rock photographer. Throughout his long and incredibly influential career, Muddy paved the way for countless other musicians with his contributions to blues, rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, folk, and country. The stamp he left on rock ‘n’ roll is truly immeasurable, and his legacy will only continue to grow with each passing year.
